For the 27th year, SYS hosted its annual Sunset Community Festival––a community celebration attracting thousands of visitors who enjoyed local food trucks, artisan wares, performing artists, and fun family activities.
Sunset Mercantile once again hosted the popup marketplace for local artisans and crafters, as well as the Golden Gate Electric Vehicle Association. Over 50 volunteers staffed our popular KidZone. We’re particularly grateful for high schoolers from Lincoln, Washington, Gateway, and St. Ignatius who volunteered their time and kept kids safe and happily occupied at carnival-style offerings.
Our own Upstar Records young people set up and provided sound engineering for the main
stage, which featured dancers from local studios as well as music from local bands––Middle Class Murder and Montgomery Station. And the SYS board of directors, led by long-time supporter and friend Tom Giles, hosted the donations-only Beer & Wine Garden.
We’re grateful to our village––all the partners, devoted board members, and volunteers––who show up for the community, year after year, to offer welcome and build community with us!
